"May the mother be thy God, May the father be thy God,

May the teacher be thy God"

“My dear young people and their parents! You are born on the pious land of India. You are the descendants of farsighted rishis. Shun ‘Valentine’s day’ which, in the name of love, debilitates the youth. O parents and their children! Love each other beholding the Lord in the other one and let your hearts be filled with Divine Joy. Not the false joy of sex, but the Joy of God, the Love of God and the Bliss of God. Our Indian culture aims at getting the children scale great heights in their tender age itself. It has a very systematic arrangement for inculcating the most ideal and benevolent pieces of knowledge into children in the forms of very simple and aphoristic precepts.

How do we Celebrate Parents Worship Day?

  •  Children worship their parents by putting Tilak, offering flowers & bowing to the parents. Parents put Tilak on children & bless them. Experience the God residing inside one another. The blessings of parents bring goodness to the children.
  • Parents tell the stories of devotees of parents like Ganesha, Pundalik, Shravana Kumar etc.
  • Children can also perform some play on these devotees eg. Children can enact as Lord Ganesha to worship his/her parents as Shiva-Parvati.
  • All children take pledge: “I shall respect my parents & teachers. It is my duty to obey those commands which aim at making me great and I shall surely do it.”
  • Children sing songs filled with devotion towards parents like:”Mata-Pita-Guru Charano Me” (cassette: Bhajan Deepanjali, VCD: Sanskar Darshan, MP3 given above) or “Bhoolo sabhi ko tum magar…” (leaflets available as ashram given above)
  •  Distribute sweets to children after singing “Shri Asaramayana Yog Lila” or Aarti.
  • If possible, do such event at a community hall where Posters depicting slogans of Parents Devotion can be put up.
  • Parents distribute books like “Bal-Sanskar”, “The Glory of Eternal Youth”, “Winsome Behaviour”, “Tu Gulab Hokar Mehak” to other children & adults in their area and they themselves read them a little daily.
  • Read and spread this benevolent message of Pujya Bapuji whose heart is filled with nothing but the well-being of mankind.

"May the mother be thy God. May the father be thy God, may the little girl be thy God. May the daughter be thy God. May the son be thy God".

Valentine’s day’, the day of love, should in fact be the day of loving the Lord abiding in every heart.

May all good come to the people of India and of the world! My brothers and sisters in India! Your conduct should be exemplary. It should help bring peace and happiness to my brothers and sisters of the whole world. Why should you ape the west? Rather they should get blessed following your footsteps.”

All patriotic citizens must make their respective contributions (in whatever form possible) towards the building of a strong future nation by engaging themselves in this act of national welfare.

NEVER FORGET YOUR PARENTS

Lest you forget everything, never forget your parents.
Never forget that their obligations are innumerable.

Worshipped many deities on earth they have, to beget you,
So never hurt their pious hearts with your harshness.

Remaining hungry they themselves, fed you and raised you,
Do not spit poison, on those who have given you nectar.

They have fulfilled all your desires, and loved you deeply,
Fulfill all their wishes, never forget to do this.

Even if you earn millions and your parents are not made happy,
Never forget that without serving them millions are like ashes.

You want your children to serve you, become a child and serve,
What you do is what you get, never forget this justice.

They slept in the wet, but let you sleep in the dry,
Never forget the mother’s loving eyes, and let not tears come to them.

Lovingly flowers they have strewn, along your path
Never become a thorn in the path of those who guided you.

You can buy anything with wealth,
but you won’t be able to buy parents.

At all times their feet so pure, never forget to love them.
