What is an IIT ?IIT as its popularly called, actually stands for Indian Institute of Technology. There are 15 IITs
 in all, out of which IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati are the premier ones (as they are the older IITs) with complete infrastruture. The rest are newer ones started by Govt. of India, so that the number of IITs doubles. IITs are the best engineering institutes in India at a Graduate level. How can one get Admission into the IITs?There are lot of changes that have taken place in terms of the exam that one has to appear for getting into the IITs. The current exam is called the ISEET. And this exam has a weightage of about 60% with along the std. XII board marks carrying a weightage of rest 40%. Collectively these two contents make the ranking for a student to get to IIT JEE. Moreover ISEET exam comprised of two papers, first called the MAIN exam and second the ADVANCE exam. The first paper is going to more like an aptitude test and the next advance is going to be like a problem solving exam in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Subjects in IIT JEE?IIT JEE exam comprises Aptitude along with subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. What is the paper pattern?As much as till IIT JEE 2011, there are two papers for IIT JEE exam. Paper I - comprises of all aptitude kind of questions, marks and scoring is not yet clear. Paper II - test of problem solving in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
