You may find helpful information and links below. Online Tutorial Videos: There are thousands of vidoes posted on www.youtube.com that can help you solve nearly any type of math problem from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus. If you can name what you are trying to learn, you can probably find it on YouTube. Simply go to www.youtube.com and search for "How to ______________" (fill in the blank with the skill you're trying to learn). Most videos show step-by-step instructions and most searches return more than one video. Some videos are better than others. Some videos might show you a technique different than the one your teacher showed in class. Find one that works for you and go with it. Overall, it is an excellent resource.
Online PowerPoints for Math 1050 and 1060: Professor Shawna Haider from SLCC has put together some excellent PowerPoints that explain every section in Math 1050 and Math 1060- Click HERE to access the PowerPoints. Online Help For Your SLCC Math Textbook Problems: For help with homework problems assigned in your SLCC math textbook, point your browser to http://www.interactmath.com/home.aspx. Once there, select the correct AUTHOR, TITLE, AND EDITION. Then find the chapter and section in which you need help. The problems listed on the online correspond to the problem numbers in your book. The online problems may not be identical to the problems in the text book (a number or two may be different), but they will help you understand the technique for solving that particular type of problem. Please note that the first time you visit interactmath.com, you'll probably need to install several updates from Adobe Flash Player and MathXL Player.
