about me

Hi!  My name is Mathew Hart.  I am an Aerospace Engineer currently working as a Mission Controller at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.  I specialize in the robotic systems of both the Space Shuttle and International Space Station.

When I'm not operating robotic arms in space, I spend much of my time volunteering with projects to advance the state-of-the-art in autonomous UAV technology.

On the weekends I enjoy sailing, cycling, golf, and working on various projects of my own.

I was born in Atlanta but grew up in Augusta.  After graduating from Lakeside High School (Evans, GA) I studied at Augusta State University (Augusta, GA), the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA), Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott, AZ), the EPF Ecole d'Ingénieurs (Paris, France) and the University of Houston (Houston, TX).  I have a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering and aspire to complete a Master's degree in Physics.
