Samuel's first tooth While in Mexico @ the end of Feb, we noticed that a tooth had cut through behind Samuel's middle lower right incissor tooth. By Thursday 3/15, it was loose enough where I encouraged him to have it come out by tying some thread to the tooth and to the door handle and closing the door. It came loose a few times, but eventually it came out on the fourth try. Meanwhile, Lina made sure to capture it all on tape. That night, the "Ratoncito Perez" (spanish tooth fairy) came and took the tooth and left three $1 bills. Only 17 to go to have enough to buy the "Cars" DVD.
"I'm a princess" And Lina was hoping it wouldn't happen. Yes, Rebeca is finding herself enjoying being a princess. She's not as girly as they get, but definitely enjoys wearing dresses (any kind), and special "princess" slippers. She twirls as often as she can when she's wearing a dress. She recently got a set of necklaces (4) of various lengths, colors and she loves them. It's neat to see her be a girl. She also likes it when Lina braids her hair, she calls her braids her "niñas" or girls.
Growing still Yes, we're on our way to eight years of marriage and our love and friendship keeps growing deeper. This journey of heading to the mission field has had some heart felt conversations, emotional experiences and excitement about continuing our lives together in a new country and "line of work." |
