Carmen Corazon Devaran San Nicolas is a summer intern at the congressional office on Tinian. Ms. San Nicolas is working on a double major at the University of Guam, studying Criminal Justice and Public Administration. She minors in Chamorro Studies. Carmen plans to go on for a Masters degree in Public Administration after her undergraduate work. Then: “I want to come back and give back to my community.” Carmen says she is learning about the federal system during her internship and gaining an understanding of the responsibilities of a member of the U.S. Congress and what he does for his constituents. Carmen San Nicolas is a graduate of Tinian High School, Home of the Stallions, Class of 2008, and the daughter of Mr. Jose and Mrs. Julie P. San Nicolas. Welcome aboard, Carmen.

Frank Waits New Vidalia Police Chief - September 29, 2005 -- In a called meeting Thursday night the Vidalia City Council voted unanimously to hire former Kingsland Police Chief Frank Waits as the new Chief of the Vidalia Police Department. Waits comes to Vidalia with 25 years of law enforcement experience and has a Masters Degree in Management and an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. The position has been open since the resignation of former Police Chief Darrell Collins in March.
