Located in Agonda beach, one of the rare gems of South Goa, the yoga centre is surrounded by a beautiful garden and comprises a restaurant and several beach huts of different standards.
The retreat will be an ideal opportunity to develop or consolidate your own practice while receiving guidance from both teachers who have many years of experience in teaching Yoga and related therapies.
The setting encourages simple life-style and introspection. Accommodation is in shared huts - either basic with communal showers and toilets outside or deluxe with en-suite shower & toilet. . Single huts available at an extra cost of £40 (basic) /£70 (deluxe) for the 10 days.

COST of the retreat is for tuition and shared accommodation only:
· £ £ 260 basic hut
· £ £ 290 deluxe hut
You will be responsible for booking your own travel from your country of departure to Goa airport, and insurance is strongly recommended. Food is also additional. Local restaurants along the beach offer dishes at a very good value; depending on how much and what you want to eat calculate an extra £6 - £10 per day. As Yogis we encourage vegetarianism during the retreat but if you think this would be too challenging for you there are many dishes available made with fresh fish, seafood and meat.
You will have ample time in the afternoon to swim in the beautiful Arabian sea or take pleasant walks in the nearby coconut groves.
A deposit of £ 100 (non-refundable) to be paid by 10th January 2008
Balance will be due by 12th February, 2008.

Each day will start with morning meditation at sunrise, followed by a yoga asana class in the beautiful garden of the centre conducted either by Swamiji or Marianne.
In the late afternoon we will meet again for a gentler class with focus on Pranayama (breathing techniques), Satsang (discussions of the yoga philosophy). We will finish the day with meditation either at sunset or after the evening meal, nurtured by the gentle sound of the sea.
Swami Shiva Nand Jee’s teaching is deeply rooted in the tradition of the great Himalayan Masters. His knowledge was transmitted to him by his Guru when he was 16. He is well known for his flexibility and ability to perform advanced asanas, as well as for his very gentle and spiritual approach. His unique way of teaching is suitable for total beginners to advance level. He encourages space and silence within you, giving you a deeper insight into the benefits of the practice. There is a lot of emphasis on improving suppleness of the spine and joints. He specializes in Kriyas (purification techniques, internal body cleansing) and Yoga therapy. His hometown is Varanasi (North India).
Marianne’s teaching is Hatha yoga based on the concept of Shiva-Shakti of the Samkhya philosophy. Her interest in Ayurveda and Tantra has influenced her work over the years. The classes are taught creatively as a series of asanas of various strengths to balance the doshas and release inner tension, while focusing on the meditative awareness of the practice and the flow/control of Prana. She is qualified in ayurvedic and holistic massage (M.T.I, E.I.V.S). She completed in 1996 a certificate from the Ayurvedic Institute of New Mexico. Marianne is also an artist.
