Welcome!
This site is mostly devoted to my research and professional activities, which are focused on the modeling and solution via computer codes of real-world problems, with a strong emphasis on numerical analysis and partial differential equations, for linear and nonlinear problems, time-dependent and steady-state, deterministic and stochastic, from the small-scale to the very large-scale problems, on structured and unstructured grids, as well as Monte Carlo methods and other simulation techniques. I also have strong interests in databases, data analysis and visualization tools for engineering knowledge management.
At ease with C++, Java and object-oriented languages in general, and several scripting languages, I put a strong emphasis on modern software techniques: design patterns, templated software, interfaces between compiled and scripted languages, unit testing, and agile programming. I have a broad experience with high-performance computing for shared and distributed memory machines.
