Mary McCartin Wearn, PhD
Dr. Wearn's research interests include American Writing, transatlantic studies, gender studies, slave narratives, abolitionism, and maternal theory. Her newest research project is an edited collection tentatively entitled, Lived Theologies and Literature: Nineteenth-Century American Women Write Religion. In the arena of pedagogy, Wearn is interested in humanities computing, issues of gender and technology in the classroom, and the educational experiences of first generation college students. She has worked on assessment projects at Georgia Tech and Macon State College.
