South Carolina Animal Fables is an inquiry based plan designed to be a cross-curricular, standards driven project. The lessons involve inquiry, reading, writing, creating and publishing. Students will use Language Arts, Social Studies and Science in their quest to create original fables.

Students will:

·         Listen to and read fables, both classic and modern

·         Learn the elements of a fable

·         Research animals of South Carolina

·         Pick two animals to further inquire about

·         Use those animals to write a South Carolina Animal Fable
