ACCOUNTABILITY

Someone must take Responsibility for what goes on in the County.

I will SERVE the people by taking an interest in the County rather than

turning a blind eye to problems and issues.  My Special Interest is the

People of Jasper County.

FINANCIAL INTEGRITY

I advocate Transparency in county finances.

Revenues, expenditures, and budgets should have Commissioner oversight,

rather than excuses, neglect and budget overruns. 

Conflicts of interest and self-serving deals should never be tolerated or ignored. 

OPEN GOVERNMENT

Citizen involvement in County issues and Public Hearings can

be accomplished with evening meetings and readily available information. 

County government must be responsive and respectful to the citizens it serves.

Secret meetings and 50-year contracts like Bear Creek Reservoir will not be considered.

Executive sessions should be limited and infrequent, not a way to keep issues

out of the public eye. 

COMMON SENSE

Not Nonsense!

We must be realistic and reasonable about County needs and resources.

The economic downturn and slumping revenues on both the State and Local levels must be taken seriously.  Spending can not continue as if nothing has changed.

I will use my CPA training to approach issues and challenges in a professional manner.

Citizens have good ideas for saving money, getting things accomplished, and handling problems.  I will empower citizens by listening to them and considering their ideas to make Jasper County a better place for everyone.
