SOLs

Our students have once again proven that they can shine on the SOLs.  Please keep up your good work with them.  Remember that they show much better success when they can read.  We work really hard in school to build their reading skills, but you are the best support we can have.  Keep your child reading at home. 

Cake Walk

On October 24 we will be holding our annual cake walk during the Fall Festival activities.  Please come and support the reading program.  We use the money raised from this activity to recognize our wonderful readers at the end of the school year.

Norfolk Admirals

Books logs for the Admirals Reading Program are due by November 7.  Students who complete the recommended number of books--10 for Kindergarten through Second and 5 for Third through Fifth will receive four free tickets to Norfolk Admirals games. 

Young Writers' Celebration

Our Young Writers' Celebration was such a success last year that we want to do it again.  You will be getting more information on this in the future.
