Marmong Point is located in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie. It is the only windsurfing only club in the state of New South Wales with its own club house, rescue boat and facilities.
The club was formed in 1936 as a skiff club. In the1980s with the advent of windsurfing it became a skiffs and windsurfer club. In the 1990s due to dwindling numbers the skiff sailors moved on, leaving the windsurfers to run the club.
The club sails all year round, including the colder months, and runs 2 annual regattas, one of which is the Mid Winters. Its members also participate in a state wide championship during the summer months.
In the past the club has won the award for most successful club in the summer series, and is currently home to the reigning 3rd place getter in this years championship.
