The manicure crab Cleistostoma dilatatum constructs a tower at the entrance of its own burrow at the beginning of neap tides when the water does not cover the habitat and the sediment becomes dry. The function of the tower is totally unknown. With collaboration with Engineering Laboratory at Sungkyunkwan University, I am trying to find the function of the tower by using current technology such as IR imaging and computer simulations.
