Marlings Morris was formed in 2001 and is a
women's morris side dancing in the tradition of North West Clog Morris.
Of the many different types of morris dancing
North West Clog is one of the more spectacular, giving a colourful and
noisy display.
We dance out during the summer months at
various
pubs in Surrey, Sussex and Kent and also at festivals. See our
programme page for details. We have an excellent band of musicians.
We practice every Monday night from September
to
May, Godstone Baptist Church Hall, Godstone Hill, Godstone, Surrey. RH9
8AJ. We start at 8pm. If you would like to join, or just want to come
along and watch to see if it is for you, contact either Liz or Gill (see contacts page).
We are always looking for new dancers, it is
easy
to learn and an excellent way to keep fit, why not give it a try.
We also need musicians. (See advert on page entitled 'Musicians needed
urgently')We are a friendly side and you will be made very welcome
whether you are a dancer or a musician.
