it's all about me, markbe! ok, maybe not. contact info here
This is a personal site (that is always a work in progress, please pardon
any broken, half-finished pages) meant to express what God has revealed
and
how life is seen from the viewpoint of a specific person's
experiences. Hopefully it is more about God and His creation and His work in that creation than
it is about that person. So pardon the i's,
me's, and my's while we get the introductions out of the
way. (wow, aren't i so humble!?!)
My real name is Mark Begemann. I use markbe because i had to have at least 6 characters in my Gmail/Google username. Many people mess up the spelling of my last name by the time they get to the third letter anyway (there's no 'r' in Begemann.)
So the site is really supposed to be a picture of what's important in my life. However, this is hard to lay out and some of the most important things i'm not going to put out there for security reasons- no one needs to know too much about my family. And some things that aren't as important are easy to write about and add links to other sites, so i'm gonna go ahead and put them out there. And then there's the whole problem with categorizing and structuring the data/information in a way that is meaningful to anyone who will visit the site. Read the information page for more about that.
I'm
not into making things look pretty first and adding content
later. Function before fashion. But today (2 dec 06) i got
the idea to start changing the look of unfinished pages so people know
there is more to come. Maybe different phases will have different
looks. Here's a breakdown of the phases as i see them
now... phase 1 - just a sentence or two and a place to throw links;
phase 2 - general framework and "important" links; phase 3 - properly
structured and prettied up a bit (functional prettiness like bullet
points, bold, italics, etc.); phase 4 - finishing touches and
additional research to make sure i haven't missed anything
mega-important. So maybe phase 1 could be a plain paper look, phase 2
a legal pad, phase 3 might finally get a "look" of its own...
