Feminism's take on sex is bad. They do not give a clear, concise
view on what sex is. Without a clear understanding of what sex really
is and how to be prepared for it, women will continue to be victimized
by date rape.Good thesis -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:05 PM
Feminism does not well prepare women for the reality that is date
rape, many women do not realize or understand the difference between
sex and rape. Women women??? -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:05 PM simply do not know the difference between sex and rape and often confuse and interchange the two;maybe use a period? -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:09 PM
"Gender was found to be predictive of character blame; when ‘unwanted
sex’ was used, women perceived higher levels of character blame than
men. Term and type of assault were significant predictors of perception
of appropriate punishment. When ‘unwanted sex’ was used participants
perceived that less punishment was appropriate. Additionally, when
‘unwanted sex’ was used or the assault was committed by an
acquaintance, participants were less likely to indicate that they would
report the assault. In this study, the terms ‘unwanted sex’ and ‘rape’
were not found to be interchangeable. Using the term ‘unwanted sex’
seemed to connote that either no crime or less of a crime had occurred
and also increased reported character blame by female respondents."good quote, but maybe you should paraphrase it -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:06 PM Women
often play the role of the victim when uncomfortable during sex, yet
protect their abuser if it happens to be someone they know even if it
was 'unwanted sex'.
Women must be prepared for what sex is and how to deal with it in
order to protect them selves against the dangers of date rape. Women
often are unaware of what the dangers of rape really are and fall
victim to the consequences of such ignorance; According to Fenske
(2006), "According to statistics, a rape occurs every two minutes in
the United States. A staggering 33% of women are likely to be raped at
least once in their lives, and what is the most shocking part is that
in excess of 80% of these rapes will be committed by someone the woman
knew. Thus, in such a bleak scenario as far as sexual assault and rape
is concerned, every woman should know how to protect herself against
this heinous crime. Here are some precautions that you can take to
ensure that you do not become another rape statistic." (p. 1) Againg
really good quote, but you should probably either shorten it and get
the main points or paraphrase it, to get the main ideas out and
exprerss you own opinions -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:06 PM Women need to know the dangers and avoid putting themselves into such undesirable senarios.
In conclusiondon't used inconclusion, instead bring new insight into the topic -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:08 PM ,
women must learn thy enemy and realize that not all sex is rape but
that sex can be rape even if the offender is someone they know.really good and insightful -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:09 PM
Women need to know what sex is and not be brainwashed by feminism
propaganda of a perfect world. Without being properly educated about
sex women will never truly be safe.good ending -Samuel Ductor 10/24/08 2:09 PM pretty
good essay with a strong point, but too much on the quoting, not your
own ideals or take on the subject. I give you a 5. -Samuel Ductor
