Thank you for visiting Mariani Kennels web site. We are located in the middle of a 200 acre dairy farm near Greensburg, PA with access to plenty of fields for running and training hunting dogs.

Our quest for the ultimate hunting dog has led us to the German shorthaired pointer. While we have owned other retrieving and pointing breeds, our primary focus is on German shorthaired pointers as they possess the versatile qualities that make for excellent companions as well as hunting partners when searching for furred or feathered game on land and in water.

Our personal dogs have successfully searched for, tracked, pointed and retrieved such game as quail, chuckar, pheasant, woodcock, rabbit, fox, turkey, duck, groundhog and deer. For the one-dog hunter, there is no greater, more beautiful, skilled and eager hunting dog than the German shorthair.
