Operatic boy band IL DIVO would love to increase their fan base by being broadcast on the radio, but stations don't know what genre they fit into.
Despite their new album ANCORA featuring duets with pop stars CELINE DION, MARIAH CAREY and JOSH GROBAN, the international group have been forced to rely on TV appearances and direct TV campaigns to sell their music.
The group's American tenor DAVID MILLER says, "There's really no place for us at radio. The feeling is that we're too 'classical' for pop stations, and too 'pop' for classical stations."
Sony BMG UK product manager PAUL McGHIE adds, "We would love radio to play them, but they don't."
