Mapping Party Kit


We are glad that you're interested in inviting others to map their world. The actions of people like you are crucial in helping to bring high-quality, up-to-date maps to over half of the world's population.

Organizing a mapping party can seem like a daunting task at first, but we've put together a mapping kit that will guide you from the first e-mail invitation to the follow-up report. Afterward, you might end up with a nice batch of Google swag and see yourselves featured on our Lat Long blog.

Here are the five sections of the Mapping Party Kit:
  1. Mapping Party Instructions - Start here for step-by-step instructions for what to do and when.
  2. Event Handouts - Useful documents you can print out and give to your participants to keep. New! One-sheeter now available.
  3. Presentations - A simple, comprehensive presentation to introduce people to Google Map Maker and teach them how to get started
  4. Presentation Aids - Sometimes a point is best made with compelling timelapse videos, map maker testimonials and before/after photos.
  5. More Suggestions - More tips and tricks, such as suggestions for who to invite to your party.
