About Info Windows

Info windows appear when you create a or edit a feature. They display additional information about the location. There are two kinds of info windows in Google Map Maker: basic and detailed.

Basic Info Windows

Basic info windows appear when you create a feature or click a marker. They allow you to enter and display additional attribute information about a feature. To view the info window for a marker, do one of the following:
  • Create a feature
  • Click the marker
  • Click the marker in the left panel
  • Click the appropriate link in the left panel
Info windows can contain information such as feature name, descriptions, and much more. You can expand non-editable info windows to display the even more information by clicking more info >> or Edit. Click Add/Edit details in an editable info window to access the Detailed Info Window (see below). To close an info window, click Close info balloon buttonCancel or Save.
