Info windows appear when you create a or edit a feature. They display additional information about the location. There are two kinds of info windows in Google Map Maker: basic and detailed. Basic Info WindowsBasic info windows appear when you create a feature or click a marker. They allow you to enter and display additional attribute information about a feature. To view the info window for a marker, do one of the following: - Create a feature
- Click the marker
- Click the marker in the left panel
- Click the appropriate link in the left panel
Info windows can contain information such as feature name, descriptions, and much more. You can expand non-editable info windows to display the even more information by clicking more info >> or Edit. Click Add/Edit details in an editable info window to access the Detailed Info Window (see below). To close an info window, click  , Cancel or Save.
Above left: an editable Basic info window. Above right: a non-editable basic info window. Detailed Info Windows The Detailed Info Window allows you to add more information about a feature. You can access it when editing a feature through the basic info window (see above) by clicking Add/Edit details. It also appears when you moderate a feature. This Info Window may have a variety of tabs depending on whether you are creating / editing or moderating a feature. These tabs include: Overview- Use to add multiple names or specify language.
- Use to change Address from default.
Attributes- Varies based on feature type.
- Example use cases include: Altering feature types, Adding a photo url, Changing road speed limit.
Description- Add interesting facts or a description about a feature.
- Provide comments to the moderator.
History- Use to view editing history about a feature.
- Also stores comments left by editors and moderators.
Moderate- Only appears when Moderating.
- Provides the most recent changes.
- Allows moderator to Approve, Deny, Request Details or Report Abuse/Spam.
