Merry Festivus everyone! Sorry to be the Grinch Who Stole Christmas here, but here is you Winter APUSH ASSIGNMENT:
1. Read/Take notes/Study Chapter 27- "Empire & Expansion, 1890- 1909" There will be a quiz the Tuesday or Wednesday we return.
2. If you are really serious about doing well on the AP Exam you should review/study/earlier material as well.
3. And last but not least: Have a splendid holiday with your family!
SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Familiarize yourself with the Collegeboard Course Description.
2. Read Chapters 1-6 of American Pageant. Be prepared for an 80 question Scantron test on those chapters the 1st week of school next year. There are study resourses on this website. You may use any of your notes for this first exam.
3. Write the DBQ essay on the 2010 AP Exam. Feel free to refer to the Scoring Guidelines, textbook, other online resources. Try to use all of the documents. There are pointers on DBQ writing in Powerpoint Palooza, the Collegeboard APUSH website, and other places. THIS IS TO BE TURNED IN THE FIRST CLASS SESSION!!
*STRONGLY RECOMMENDED:
>Acquire some form of APUSH Test Prep Book. Borders has lots of options in their reference section.
>Either purchase or better yet make your own Flash Cards of important people, events, Acts of Congress, Treaties, Supreme Court Cases, etc. for review purposes.
>By now you should have figured out your learning style. For those or you that are more Kinesthetic learners, I strongly recommend that you acquire a composition book of some sort to take notes in and review.
