Parental Access (TUSDstats)

What a TUSDStats Parental Account allows you to access

When you create a TUSDStats Parental Account, you gain access to a world of data that can help you better understand your child's academic experience.  Here are some examples:

  •  The AIMS test will be a High School Graduation Requirement in 2005-06.  Find out how your child has performed on the AIMS and TUSD's CCSA.  View score breakdowns at the concept level with comparisons to the District Averages and the State Standards
  • The Stanford 9 Test is a nationally-normed assessment that has been given in TUSD for the last 7 years.  See how your child's scores compare to those of children across the country.  Track your child's achievement from year to year, down to the level of specific content clusters
  • Have you ever wondered how you child's attendance is affecting their achievement?  View your child's over-all attendance averages by quarter.  Also, view your child's attendance for each class next to the grade they received for that class.
  • Would you like to contact a teacher via e-mail?  View a list of your child's teachers, linked to their e-mail addresses.
  • Find out more about how your child's school performs as a whole.  Follow links that will show you everything from school-wide AIMS scores, to School Quality Survey Responses, to Mobility Rates, all specifically calculated for your child's school.

What you need to create a TUSDStats Parent Account

In order to create an account to access your child's TUSD data, you need two numbers:

  • Their Matriculation Number
  • A Confidential Access Code

Both of these numbers are listed on the "TUSDStats Parental Access Information" sheet which can be printed for you by TUSD Employees at your child's school who have access to your child's data (this includes his/her teachers, counselors, office staff, and administrators).  In order to print this information for you, a TUSD employee will need to verify in person that you are the legal Parent or Guardian of the child for whom you are requesting access.  This process cannot take place over the phone or via e-mail, but instead must be done in person at your child's school.

The TUSDStats Parental Access Information sheet also has step-by-step instructions for creating your account.

The other thing you need in order to activate your account is a working e-mail address.  If you do not have an e-mail address, you can create one for free on the internet at various sites (e.g. Hotmail, Yahoo).
