Arizona Centennial Event Celebration of Citizenship in Arizona’s Past, Present, and Future Date: February 14th, 2012 (AZ Statehood Day), 1:15 pm Location: Mansfeld Middle School Collaborators: Citizenship Counts and founder, Gerda Weissmann Klein TIE-IN TO ARIZONA CENTENNIAL: (How event has a clear and visible tie-in to Arizona Centennial) As a part of this event's visible tie to the Arizona Centennial, Paul Eckstein will deliever our keynote addres. Mr. Eckstein, a partner at Perkins Coie in Phoenix, Arizona, is co-author of an upcoming book on Arizona's history, from the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 to Arizona's statehood in 1912. The book is tentatively title Inventing Arizona. We will also hear a message from Holocaust survivor and Citezenship Counts founder, Gerda Weismann Klein. Students from Mansfeld will present student products based on the theme of citizenship. There will be a reception held at the end of the presentations.
Mansfeld Open House for Incoming 6th Graders
We will host several Open House events for families interested in attending Mansfeld. We will share information about our academic and elective programs, provide time for questions and answers, and provide a tour of the school. The events will be held on the following dates: March 6th, 8:00 - 9:30 AM April 3rd, 5:00- - 6:30 PM
