OK, here is my list of wants / future expansion for my robot, in no particular order.
Wireless control via bluetooth (Bluesmirf)
DONE! This has been accomplished using Sparkfun's Bluetooth module connected to my SSC-32.
- Lynxmotion Buffered ±2g Accelerometer
- IR detection for autonomous tracking and/or ranging. See here.
- Gyro and/or accelerometer support to balance the upper torso. Not sure difference between the two, but we'll figure that out along the way.
- Pan and tilt for waist to counteract leg movements and keep torso level.
DONE! I went to a pan and tilt head for the camera and linked airsoft gun.
Wireless video using CMUCam2+ Currently using a Trendnet IP-110W wireless IP cam. Works great!
Would love to try Robotics Connection's Serializer, Society of Robots' AXON I think there's an amp limitation using this controller and I'm using Hitec 5990tg digital servos, which draw heavy amperage. Better possibly to link a Boarduino to my SSC-32, I think.
- Airsoft cannon on stable torso platform.
DONE! Using a Defender automatic-fire gun linked to the camera's movements.
