1-28-11 fishing was good on the river today. landed 12 fish and lost a few more... we also pulled a 800 ski-doo out of the river just above high bridge....

1-19-11 Another slush bowl this morning, put in at rainbow and went down, got one fish and the slush was getting real bad, turned the boat and went way up stream. No slush and the fish were biting. we landed 9 and lost that many more. We did land a coho and 8 steelhead. The last hole we stopped at we hooked 10 fish only boating four. 1-11-11 Arrived to the ramp at 8 am, noticed that the lower end of the river was ice free so we decided to launch and work our way down from Rainbow Bend. It didn't seem to matter where we fished, every hole had a fish that wanted to bite. By the end of the day we ended up about 4 miles down stream, we landed 29 Steelhead and lost at least 10 others. It had to have been one of the best days on the river seeing that many Steelhead come to the boat.

1-9-11 We got slushed in this morning. Just about didn't fish and said what the heck, pulled in the first hole, casted in the slush and wham fish on. We ended up landing four for about a half days fishing. Toll Free 1-(877)-731-4460

1-8-11 Started fishing around 10 am and the temp was around 2 degrees. It took some time for it to warm up and we caught a few fish. The slush was bad and the lower end of the river was frozen up. 12-31-10.. LAST DAY OF THE YEAR, the fish were hiding on me this morning, but i found them this afternoon. the water was rising and the fish are on the move. went down low to find not much, so i pulled lines and ran way up stream. the water had good color and the fish were there. landed 7 steelhead and lost a few more. plus we had some bites that we should of had.. the water will be higher tomorrow and the fish will be entering our river system in full force.. this month will be red hot for steelhead. we have openings available for the new year.. give us a call... 12-29-10 River fishing was good today with a three man limit by noon... It was cloudy for the most part today and the fish were biting. we landed 9 and lost two others.. There are a lot of fish in the river and will remain good through spring.. We have the full encloser up and the heat is on, it makes fishing warm in the winter time.... 12-21-10 Went 10 for 16 all Steelhead today on the Big river. The water came up a little bit and it was overcast today and the fish seemed to bite better than yesterday. 10-9-10 Fished Lake Michigan in the afternoon today. Went 22 for 30, catching everything but a brown. 3 colors of lead to 300 copper. Spoons worked the best, Magnum lemon ice fuzzy bear spoon down 50' on an outdown with ss blue mixed veggie slider was probably the best setup.

10-05-10 the steelhead are starting to show up in fair numbers, 6 to 10 a trip have been average. some small ones mixed in with some 7 to 9 lbs. the kings are still around and can be caught on eggs and bobbers. we have great colors on the river right now and the weather is great so book a trip today.. 9-8-10 There are still plenty of fish in the big lake as the main run has not gone up the river yet. It might happen late this week as the wind is blowing pretty hard out of the north right now. 8-10-10 THE KINGS ARE IN FULL SWING, there are boat loads of salmon coming to the boat right now, numbers in the 15 to 20's are common right now. there will be good king fishing in the lake for a while, thro september. we have a new river boat to fish out of this fall/spring. its a bigger boat then the last one with alot of fishing room and has the full enclosuer with heat. salmon and steelhead trips are now available.

8-2-10 the fish are biting and are starting to get big. we have seen some 20 lbs here in the last week and the fish are still eating lots of bait. we have few days left this month and september is starting to fill up, book your river trips now for the fall salmon and steelhead run's.

5-09-10 with the wind blowing out of the north at 30mphs i thought today would have been tough fishing, but thats why we fish out of manistee, we landed 19 fish and lost about 6 others, we had kings and lake trout. the day turned out great other then getting into a net. the net is located in 6.143 and is in 115 fow. its unmarked and comes way up off the bottom. we got two down riggers into it and a diver and 2 cores, it was a mess. other than that we caught most fish on d.w. super slims and a few on spinnys and krw flys, next week looks good with not as bad of wind as we had this weekend, give us a call and catch some fish 231-723-5538 or Toll Free 1-(877)-731-4460....

3-17-10 Fished for browns this evening caught 7 and lost 2 in about 4 hours of fishing along the shoreline . The ice is off Manistee lake so the big boat will be going in the water after we get back from the Grand Rapids outdoor show his weekend. April is a great month to catch steelhead and brown trout. 3-15-10 The water is way up, but today was the first day in two days that we smacked them good. We fished up by the dam and hooked over 15 fish, landing 12. The fish are really chrome and fresh, there is a ton of fish up there right now. The weekends will be tough with all the people but through the week is great. This is the first wave of spawning fish. We fished bobbers and spawn, jigs, and spinning glows on the bottom and they all caught fish. The week from the 22nd through the 28th will be on fire so book now. 1-19-10 just when i thought it couldn't get any better, well it did. landed 14 steelhead today. this fishing right now is really good. got one today that was pushing 14lbs that was released, she was the biggest i have seen this winter. this puts the grand total of fish landed in five days at 51 fish.. not bad fishing ... next week is open so give us a call.... 231-723-5538 or Toll Free 1-(877)-731-4460

1-16-10 WELL WE GOT ANOTHER LIMIT OF FISH TODAY..... 1-15-10 today was the best day on the river this year. we landed ten fish and they were all big. our biggest was 13lbs and smallest was 8lbs. joh and adam had there hands full with landing 7 fish by 11 a.m. then we took it easy and finished out our limit. we had plenty of bites and other fished hooked. this fishery is world class. there are fresh fish coming in the river daily. we were fishing out of the heated jet boat and was really comfortable. the fishing will remain great. we were fishing bobbers and spawn most of the day. the weather is going to remain warm till the end of january so give us a call and we will put you on the fish.
