Gala Day 2013 Stallholder bookings

Thank all stallholders for their support and understanding of difficult conditions for the 2012 Gala.

Bookings for 2013 Gala are now open - please read carefully. Arrangements very similar to previous years - but with 2 exceptions:
  1. We are going to allow 3 stallholders (who will be paying a premium) to sell "food to eat" at the Gala. Arrangements for this are currently being finalised.
  2. We are setting aside a separate area specifically for Mangawhai "not for profit" Community Groups.

PLEASE, It is very important when you pay any funds to very clearly identify who the funds are coming from so we can link into bookings. We get funds via:
  1. On-line direct deposit - the most common and our preferred way. So far "No problems"
  2. Direct deposit - often by "Bag". If you use this method please note your name on the "Bag" details, send also send an eMail to mangawhaigala@gmail.com noting that you have made the deposit in this manner, plus the Bag Details (Unfortunately there have been a few deposits this way and as yet I cannot track the deposit to a particular person)
  3. Sending cheques to PO Box 118, Mangawhai. Please include name, phone number andan eMail address with this.
  4. Cash or cheque given to a Domain Committee member. Please, if you this (and it is not easy on our time so we really do not prefer this) put the cash / cheque in an envelope with very clear details on who from, eMail address, phone number etc

We look forward to having previous stall-holders back, and new stall-holders to make 2013 Gala Day a success once again.

At present bookings can done by filling in the online booking form or by following instructions at bottom of this page.


The Domain Committee has established the following policy for stallholder bookings for Gala 2013.
  • Stallholders are not permitted to sell or give away drinks (including soft drinks, water, tea, coffee, fruit juices, alcoholic beverages etc), or sandwiches / rolls, cakes, or hot foods, or ice creams, fairy floss etc since these affect the operation of the Domain Cafe / BBQ and concessionaires who pay a percentage of their gross takings. NOTE: We are aware of previous gross abuses of this policy and stallholders are not going to be allowed back. ALSO, we are going to allow 3 separate stallholders (who will be paying a premium) to sell food for Gala 2013.
  • It is our general policy not to allow other groups to undertake fund-raising activities from stalls during Gala Day. However, the Committee will consider individual requests and has and will allow same under certain conditions
  • Busking is not allowed from stalls. 
  • It is important that you keep all your activities within your allocated stall site area to faciltate public access and event safety.
  • All vehicles parked away from your site should be in designated areas; otherwise it becomes difficult to park visitors (your customers) to the event.
  • Our normal policy is that we do not refund for cancelled bookings, but with plenty of advance notice we can normally come to some satisfactory arrangement. .

We have very slightly changed the layout as we had for for Gala 2012.

While we try to allocate actual site locations as requested, this cannot always be done as other people may have already booked that site, or it has been used by a particular stallholder for many years.

We are under no obligation to "hold" a booking that has not been paid and we will not necessarily send out reminder notices.

Stall sizes and costs for Gala 2013:

Large    5 m frontage * 6 m depth       Cost $50.00 per site
Small    3 m frontage * 6 m depth        Cost $40.00 per site
(Costs will go up by $10.00 per site on 01 December).

Our normal hours:

0600 - gates open for stallholders

0800 - last entry by stallholders

0815 - any cars that are not fitted entirely within reserved stallholder site to be moved to general carpark.

0900 - nominal time for public entry (but many come earlier!!).

1400 - nominal close, but can be later or earlier depending on the public.

 

Alternative to using on-line booking form.

Step 1: 
Fill out the following details as below, and email to mangawhaigala@gmail.com

  • Name
  • Products or services being sold
  • Your Email address
  • Snail mail address
  • Landline phone
  • Mobile phone
  • Requested site or at least preferred block number (see plan above)

Step 2: 
You need to make the payment by direct deposit to the Domain Society’s account at the ASB Bank
 – Account No:

When making the payment include that it is for Gala2013  PLUS include your name.

Advise as per email below that you have paid by Internet banking so I can keep checking.

See above at very top of page - especially if booking by deposit bags, not easy to track so please send an eMail confirming details of how and when you paid - Thanks!!


Step 3: 

On receipt of the details you send and checking that funds successfully received we will Email you a "Booking Confirmation-Site Entry" form.

 Step 4:

Print out the Booking Confirmation-Site Entry form and bring it with you to the Gala Day
