Manga Bento Exhibit 08

Okonomi:  Manga Bento's 1st official exhibit!

Goal: to show the diversity of the influence Manga and anime has had upon the art world and local culture.

Media: Anything related to manga and anime or its derivatives: drawings, paintings, manga, photos, sculptures, hand made costumes, hand made dolls or doll clothing, hand made stuffed animals etc. Animation is ok but you will need to provide a monitor and player if you want the public to see it for the length of the show. At closing, you must pick up your work or provide packaging and postage. If you choose to sell your work, include a contact number on the label which buyers can contact you at. Please make your own arrangements with buyers to pick up your work AFTER the show is over or sell them a duplicate.

Size limits:

Work can be almost any size as long as you are willing to hang and take it down. The Academy does not have a storage area.

If you do not wish to help with installation, max size is 11 x 14. Be aware that unframed work will be directly mounted to the wall using double sided 3M tape or silly putty which could damage the surface of your art unless it it protected by a mat. Unframed work should be done on heavy stock paper.

Quality: digital prints should be done at approximately 300 pixels/inch (dpi) in order to eliminate the jaggies. JPG compression should be set to high quality. If possible uncompressed formats like TIFF should be used.

Clip on frames with glass will not be allowed.

We will hang as much as we can but will reserve the right to NOT hang submitted work for any reason.
