Eric and I met officially online through cyclingsingles.com, but only after I had a serendipitous conversation with a girl at a party! Eric had recently emailed me through the cycling website, but I was hesitant to actually meet someone I met on the internet in person. Luckily, at the party, I mentioned to a girl from my gym that I had gotten an email from a guy online and thought he was super cute, my age, raced cyclocross and was a cancer survivor--and turned out she knew him just from that info! How crazy in a city of what, 11 million people!!?? Since she knew him and could "give me the green light," I invited him to a party, and soon thereafter, we had our official first date at a Jim Gaffigan comedy performance!

A year and one day later, Eric proposed to me on a sleeting, cold trail run in Michigan by pretending to stop and tie his shoe...only to look back up with me with a sparkly ring in his hand and his eyes full of tears before he even said a word! It was the happiest moment of my life and the perfect proposal! We moved from Chicago to Denver in 2007 and recently moved to Boulder.  It's the perfect place to play in the mountains!
