Neo-Technology Transfer

Innovation is the key of development a society or community can ensure its development to promote its traditional knowledge with new look, new innovations and techniques. To develop and introduce new low cost technologies in the rural world is one of the major challenges before us. By providing technical inputs and commercial marketing techniques we can support to rural people, innovators for generating income from their invention, knowledge and techniques.

Main motto of MANAV is to introduce and promote new technologies and innovations in rural world. We  have strong believes that the people of rural world can get not only their livelihoods but also live in a better way by using new innovations and techniques, conserving their traditional knowledge and environment. This is time of technology transfer for a better and prosperous rural world. We also disseminate information related to new techniques.

Education

We are focusing on to spread awareness among rural people of education and trying to enroll children to nearest Govt. or public school and getting support from some organisation working in the field.

Nursery & Plantation

To protect and conserve forests and water resources the organisation has started its nursery and plantation program and planted various species of plants with the help of villagers particularly women and farmers groups during the rainy season in 2008-09. The program was partially success in surrounding areas. It was seen that some villagers had started plantation of fodder and other species by themselves near their houses.

mFinance Programe

The concept of microfinance came into practice just before 21st centuary in Himalayan region particularly in the newly born state Uttrakhand. The idea was introduced by some social foreseeing activists in India by inspiring participatory approach, experiance of some developing countaries like Bangladesh.

The group concept is a good alternative strategy to involve people in the development process. Now microfinance is widely seen  as improving livelihoods, reducing vulnerability and fostering social as well as economic empowerment. In past the poor have been remained beyond the out of reach of the formal banking systems because of traditional delivery mechanism, products and assumptions of financial institutions.

To implement microfinance program successfully in hills is difficult than plain since difficult geographical condition leading to high cost, lack of resources, less business opportunities, scattered population etc. There are so many options in hand of plain people to start small business or income generating activities because of easily available resources and market to sale their products.

In Himalayan region most of day to day work is done by women. Being pooverty alleviation tool mFinance(Self Help Groups) can play an important role in improving their economic and social condition.

Under mFinance program we focus on empowering rural women by building their capacity, developing leadership skills and decision making capacity, promote capital generation through small savings and provide banking and insurance plus services.

Agriculture

Traditional agriculture and allied activities like animal husbandry, vegetable cultivation, goat rearing, beekeeping etc. are main income source of almost 70% of the people living in the area. Vegetable cultivation is one of the sources of villagers’ income. By the use of poly-house villagers can get more regular income from selling non seasonal vegetables in local markets.
