MAMS ITeam

MAMS iTeam Goals

The Mt Ararat Middle School ITeam serves both an enrichment activity for team members and a service to the school and our communities. We build from each student's enthusiasm for using and learning with technology and their commitment to share that passion with others. We seek to support teachers and peers to enhance learning for all students through improved uses of technologies for learning both in and out of school.

We help by providing just-in-time support, modeling appropriate uses of technology, prototyping innovative uses of technologies
with teachers and technology leaders to support learning. We share our work through presentations in classes, Conference Presentations, Technology Institutes, this site, and invited presentations. The work can be challenging but we hope it is a form of what Seymour Papert, a leader in the creation of the MLTI, called "hard fun."

ITeam meets during CET for 7th & 8th graders who can and after school Thursdays. Sixth graders will have a CET opportunity later this year.
