The Maldon Museum and Archives Association has a wonderful collection of artefacts and historical information from the Maldon District, plus an extensive collection of historic machinery from a wide area. The District includes Baringhup, Bradford, Gowar, Muckleford, Neereman, Nuggety, Pollard, Ravenswood South, Sandy Creek, Shelbourne,Tarrangower, Walmer, Woodbrook (Chinaman’s Creek), Maldon and its suburb of Eaglehawk, and parts of Eddington and Welshman's Reef. Also, from 1947 to 1956, there was a construction settlement for Cairn Curran Reservoir at Baringhup. Please note: opening hours for the History Research centre and District Museum have changed. During winter we are open from 1:30 to 4:00pm on Saturdays only. Maldon Museum & Archives Association Inc. Our newsletter, Maldon Muse, is circulated quarterly. Full Membership of the Association is: $25 Junior: (under 18 years) $10 Family: (two adults and their children under 18 years) $50 Newsletter only: $10 All payable annually and due on 1st July Full membership supports the development of facilities, and provides you with the Newsletter, free access during opening hours, the right to attend Association meetings, to nominate for office, and to vote at general meetings.
