Title: Making Work Easy

Central Idea: The purpose of machines is to help get tasks done more efficiently and effectively.

An Inquiry Into: How machines work.

The Grade 5 students in the first week of the inquiry have brainstormed all about machines. They are now working in small groups of pairs to write a report about a simple machine and a compound machine.

We have already done some research in the school library but some groups still need to research further by using the Internet and other resources like asking the teachers at school.

This website will be used as an online journal for the teachers and for the students. Each student will make their own website and a scrapbook to record their personal inquiries.
