I have really been able learn quite a few things about technology through this course that I had not been exposed to in the past. I have gained knowledge about the ways to use resources that are abundant on the web which will help me to create exciting activities that have a purpose. I feel like learning theories and teaching strategies are  a great way to assess your students as a whole and your self as a teacher. The learning theory that I relate with the most is the idea of active and reflective learners because I feel like every child should be an active learner in their classroom. Everyone can benefit from what others have to say. Active learners really want to get in there and try out the activity right away, while reflective learners want to think through the process before they jump right in.

For me, Teaching Strategies are a good way for a teacher assess how he or she teaches and how their students learn. I most embody the Experiential Learning strategy because students are really able to become hands on with many subjects and see things up close. I feel like the best way to learn is to put it to life and make it real for your students. When I was in school, partcipating in hands on activities was much more beneficial to me than sitting and reading out of a book. I see things more clearly if I can experience the lesson up close and personal.

I think that the Interactive Teaching style would really support the technology part of this course. Allowing the children to research through a WebQuest and play a Power Point game to gain knowledge of a subject are two ways that a student can truly be interative. I think that the Visual and Verbal learners would benefit most from the types of activities that we created in this course because they allow the children to become hands on with the subjects that are being presented. The kidspiration and inspiration activities that were made would definitely be useful for these types of learners.

The LoTi framework that I become familir with during this class is a way of looking at your classroom and your students as a whole and picking a level where the children and the teacher are comfortable with using technology. I feel like a LoTi level of around 3 or 4a would be successful for an elementary classroom. I would not want to overwhelm my children with too much, but I would also want to challenge them as much as I can. You must have a happy medium. I feel like most of the projects and activities I created in this class are a LoTi level of 3 or 4. Many of them could be easily put at a high level by assing different instructions or by using them  more often or allowing the children to take the upper hand in creating many of these projects.

In order to get other teachers involoves in integrating technology in the classroom I would start by saying that the possibilities are nedless when creating projects and fun activities for the children to complete. You can make a WebQuest about anything under the sun and you can incorprorate any subject into a Power Point game. Even the iMovies can be created to either introduce a lesson or give more information to the students. I would definitly warn all teachers who plan to intergrate technology into their classrooms that creating many of these projects takes quite a bit of time and preparation, but once you have made them you can use them over and over again. Goin the extra mile to create these projects will benefit you in the long run.

There is a lot more that I would like to learn about technology. For instance, what do I tell children that are "afraid" of the computer or who do not have as much background with the computer? How do I get childrne motivated? What other possibilities are there with technology in the classroom? I know that there are many resources and activities when it comes to technology and the internet, but over all this class has given me a good head start to learning what each of these projects can accomplish for my students.

I will remember that technology is not something to be afraid of to use in my classroom. Many students will benefit from using technology. The teaching strategies that I learned about throughout this class will help me to create a knowledge based classroom. The learning strategies will help me to get to know my students better and assess what their strengths and weaknesses are as students and what I need to do to help them become better students and better learners.
