Okay you fellow heathens out there :)

This is what you've all been waiting for. Fun to come to Amarillo, Texas!

We all know how radical our state capital Austin is, and we are trying to bring a little of the spark right here to the 8-0-6! Lets get good bands to come here, and get the word out that they are here. Lets boost our local economy by shopping at local stores. Lets help out all those struggling mom and pop restaurants, by actually eating at them.

Lets get this town out of their houses, out of the rut of unartistic mediocrity, and back to the streets, the heart of Amarillo, that is 6th street.

Contrary to popular belief, 6th street can become quite the little oasis in this droll town. What many of us have never stopped to think about is that maybe, just maybe the reason there is never anything going on is the fact that no one ever goes to any of the events scheduled. Conversations generally consist of "Hey man, you missed an awesome show last night", or "The art exhibit last week was great!"

Notice how neither of those is in present tense. No one calls their friends while they are actually at the place at which they are attending this amazing function.
This isn't all our faults though, it is also at the fault of the venues for not getting word out soon enough, or even at all.

Throughout the towns history, groups have formed that try to tell you that conformity is the road to happiness. That is a lie. We are here to help change that. We aren't going to have lists or even maps that tell you places you can and can not go to, instead we will have places that you should check out to see a good show, or hit up an awesome sale, or a place to grab a fantastic burger.

The opposite of conformity is making 6th street weird. Embrace your inner weirdo, or whatever it is you feel you are. Come find your niche on 6th.
