FAQ
Dedicated to eliminating the communications barrier!

How Does CART Work?
CART services may be performed on site or, in some situations, from a remote location via the Internet.
As words are spoken, all words appear instantly on a computer screen or other display.
Captions can be displayed for one person or projected for an audience.

Are Computer Skills Necessary?

No. However, reading skills are a necessity.

Where Is CART Used?
CART is used wherever there is a need for enhanced communications, such as classrooms, meetings,
appointments, support groups, hospitals, and courtrooms. CART is similar to an interpreting service
in that it is an accommodation available for your use to ensure access to public services.

Who Uses CART?
Consumers of CART services generally are people who are late-deafened or hard-of-hearing.
It also benefits people who are visual learners and those with a learning disability.

Many clients
use CART for the instant transcript we can provide, which allows them to have
the full text of what was said during the meeting or event.
