| June 16-20, 2007 Our crew's return to the Batteau Festival after skipping a year. Like 2005, we followed the Batteaus down the James River in canoes and kayaks. We did not do the entire festival, only going as far as Scottsville. Therefore, unfortunately, we did not see the big smiley face in the water. :( For the first time we participated in the carnival-like portion of the festival that is held on the first day. There was pizza, inflatable swords, questionable-looking slides, and more. Just remember, meet at the Red Slipper. |
