Using a "grassroots" parent-based approach, our mission is to provide educational and networking opportunities to parents of children with special needs and to advocate for children within the Methacton School District.

Who are we?

Methacton Advocacy and Education Network (MAEN) is a parent-run network in the Methacton School District. We have no financial or political agenda. At this time we have no dues or requirements for membership, other than your willingness to learn how to advocate for your child or cheer on someone else's. Our main goal is to help improve the educational well-being of the special needs children in the Methacton School District. Together, we will explore a proactive approach with the District for our exceptional children.

We want to connect with each other so we can:

• Build a working support network.
• Share information and learn from each other
• Share strategies for the best ways to have our children's special needs met.
• Find out what other local services are available.
• Be a resource to the Methacton School District.
• Improve the educational experience and future of Methacton students.
