TEGAN PNW Pixiedust Tegan at Maddenduff NA, NAJ, CGC CH Bramley’s PNW Classic Storm x Dinasore PNW Jazzabelle Breeders: Kelly Estes, Erica Konkel & Judy Stout-Reynolds Health clearances: OFA (patellas), BAER (hearing), CERF (eyes) and heart Tegan is our first Boston Terrier. She came to us after a very long search from Kelly Estes of PNW Bostons and Erica Konkel of Pixiedust Bostons. Being new to Bostons, we were not sure what we were in for with this breed. But after researching the breed, speaking to a lot of breeders and trying to find just the right puppy, Tegan is everything we could have asked for in a companion. She is hilariously funny, very smart, good natured and a horrific brat all at the same time and we love her to death! Tegan's hobbies include being a princess, tormenting Fergus, destroying stuffed animals, anything that involves running and jumping, and sitting in front of the heater. Cassie and Tegan are having a great time training together for various performance events. Tegan did really well in her advanced obedience classes and earned her Canine Good Citizen title at 11 months old, but unfortunately she finds formal obedience to be very boring. We have moved on to the agility ring and are having a blast there! Tegan is a wonderful agility dog. We earned our first agility title with 3 runs, 3 qualifying scores and were 1st place all three times! I think we might have a bright future in this venue. We may also try rally obedience in the future. Tegan is a great little worker as long as the training is fun and lively. The only problem we have is trying to keep Tegan from outsmarting her trainer! We had high hopes of Tegan being a great show dog, but unfortunately she has a couple of faults that keep her from excelling in this area. She does however have an excellent pedigree, super temperament, and structurally lot of really good things going for her (particularly her excellent front assembly and overall angulation.) Because of this, we felt she could make a positive contribution to the breed through her offspring. We bred her in May 2010 and she free-whelped three puppies on July 20, 2010. Baby pics can be seen on the Maddenduff News page. After her short stint of motherhood, it was back to the agility ring for Tegan! GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN! |
