Come celebrate the first weekend in spring by coming out for a nice trail run! Support the PHS Cross Country Team and Math Club by participating in the 5th helping (annual) Pi Mile Run (3.14 miles for the math-weary out there).  As part of the festivities this year, we will be offering a one mile fun walk through the beautiful woods around Patuxent High School, as well as an exhibition pie eating contest.  Also, do you think you can recite pi from memory to the most digits? Winners (youth and adult) will receive a pie for their efforts!

Registration  

Early Registration (by March 4th):

$10 Walkers (shirt extra)

$10 Students under 18 (shirt extra) 

$20 CBRC members (shirt included)

$25 All Others (shirt included)

$10 Extra Pi Mile T-Shirt (must register early to guarantee order)

Regular Registration (after March 4th & Race Day):

$15 Walkers (no shirt) 

$30 All Others (T-shirts included while supplies last)

You may register at active.com (by March 15th) or use a Registration Form (mail it in or bring it to the race)

Prizes

All age group winners win... a pie!  There will also be prizes for overall winners, Master's winners, and other age group placers. 

Additionally, any registered runner or walker will have a chance to win a pie if you can recite, from memory, the most digits of pi. Non-registered persons may participate for $5.

There will be delicious refreshments for all after the race. 

Race Course

The pi mile run will follow the Patuxent High School Cross Country course, with slight modifications made to extend the length to pi mile distance.  The mile walk will follow a portion of the same course.  The beautiful course consists of mostly wooded trails and somewhat hilly terrain  (map).

Directions

The race will be held at Patuxent High School Stadium, 12485 Southern Connector Blvd, Lusby, MD   20657.  For directions go to maps.google.com and enter 'Patuxent High School'.   There is ample on-site parking.
