Hi! My name is Xuesong Liu. I come from mountain city Hebi Shi(鹤壁市), Henan Province (河南省) in China. You can call me Pine, which is the translation of Chinese word Xuesong (雪松). I’m currently a Ph.D. Candidate working with Prof. Burcu Akinci, Prof. James H. Garrett, Jr. and Prof. Mario Bergés in Civil & Environmental Department at Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests include Building Information Modeling (BIM), Building Automation Systems control and diagnosis, Sensor Networks and Computerized Facilities Management.

Coming from a construction engineers’ family, I love everything in civil engineering. And I prefer programming above all others, which may be determined by destiny ^_^. So I have got a dream to devout myself to the Computer-Aided Civil Engineering since I was a little boy. After years’ learning I’m very close to it now!
