1. Spelling City is an online spelling program that makes practicing for spelling tests fun.
 
2. Child friendly video site videos are taken from youtube, proofed by parents to make it safe for students to view / search.
 
3. Educational Videos and Lessons for K-12 School Kids Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle and High School; videos are sorted by subject, and are available through a search option.
 
4. Edheads helps students learn through educational games and activities designed to meet state and national standards.
 
5. My StoryMaker lets you control characters and objects - and creates sentences for you! Once you are done with your story, save it online or print it out in the Library.

Ideas for using Word / Kidspiration / Inspiration:
1. Create a Vocabulary Word Table: have students create a link between their word list and clipart (integrate new spelling lists, new science vocab. etc.)
2. Picture and Word Map: insert a graphic, and create a short list of words that you think of when you look at the picture (new science vocab. etc.)
3. Compare and Contrast: insert two graphics, and write a short paragraph that highlight the differences.
4. Newsletter: have students create a 2 columned newsletter (could be based on a novel their reading, or science / social studies topic)
5. Chain Story: use a different color text to add a paragraph to a "chain" story written by students in your group
6. Three Graphics: choose three graphics that represent key features of the main character in a particular story or concept and describe why you choose the graphic you did
7. Noun Hunt: provide students with a short story, using the "highlight" tool, have students locate all the nouns in the given story.
8. Scavenger Hunt: have students create a scavenger hunt, or create one for students to use (L.A., Science, Social Studies, Math based etc.) 
Ideas for using Spreadsheets: 
1. Charts: plot average yearly precipitation for a given time / plot a survey (integration of math, science etc.)
2. Comparison: compare the number of adjectives and adverbs used in a non-fiction / fiction book
3. Budget for a party: create a budget and come up with a grocery list, including costs
4. Perimeter / Area: use excel to explore the differences between perimeter and area
5. Formulas: create a simple chart and have students create and experiment with formulas (sum/difference/average etc.)
Ideas for using Kidspiration / Inspiration:
1. Compare and Contrast (L.A., Science, or Social Studies etc.)
2. Life Cycle: create a simple life cycle - using pictures or words
3. Time line: create a time-line (Social Studies)
4. Story Board: create a map describing a particular books; a) plot, b) characters, c) place, d) conclusion
5. Scavenger Hunt
6. Fill in the Blanks: student or teacher created
7. Word & Picture Map: new vocabulary etc.
8. Patterns: create a pattern using clipart
9. Area & Perimeter: using kidspiration (math tools)
10. Number Concepts: illustrate the number '10' in as many ways as possible
11. Place Value: using the math tools in kidspiration - illustrate the number '109' using place value blocks
12. Postcard: create a post card (L.A., Science, or Social Studies etc.)
 
Ideas for using PhotoStory: 
1. ABC Exploration: illustrate the alphabet using paint, and import pictures into photostory
2. School Values: illustrate or have students take digital pictures of school / class values, import them into photo story and have them speak about these values
3. Themed Video: have students create or take pictures based on a particular theme and have them create a short video in PhotoStory (Science, Social Studies, L.A. theme etc.)
