 INTRODUCTION

 

Hi, it is estimated that by the year 2023 a 1000 dollar computer will reach the human brain potential for processing data. Which means that there is a huge market with hundreds of billions dollars waiting around the World for humanoid robots and intelligent systems. I am sure you will be able to improve your robot or to help promote the issue because it can really change the World for the good. You can also put a link to my website in yours; if you like. It can save many years to the technology if people read the tips and information.

After more than 1000 years of the king regimes; the majority of slaves always thought that their life stile was annoying but normal:

 Humans in average only use 5% of their brain potential or intelligence and with the actual social structures they are not going to be able to survive; because it conduces to a sure way for destroying the special conditions in the Planet. They are also usually enslaved with different techniques, bad level education or systems, politic aspects in the name of freedom, security or what ever; to pay this huge undercover "communist" corruption:

which is retarding hundreds of years the possibility to get better technologies.

(The big numbers on the list are trillions of dollars and in some cases are even more than what appears on the lists; but covered because of supposed national security, you can also see the World Bank data. After a few days of publishing the issue; someone did cover the Swiss dept per every person. I did the numbers its approx 250000 per person. As you can see they never give the exact numbers, but they are huge).

This is why most of the humans still living basically like animals. Fighting or working their entire life for paying basic needs; but with the right tools, better education, better communication systems and technology you will be able to broke the chain:

If you can produce food with intelligent systems and robots; that will give more time to the people to learn things and to be creative. Then; If you can liberate humans from repetitive tasks by using humanoid robots and intelligent systems; they will have even more time to create more things. But also If you can generate free clean energy tools (products) with the same logic (process) and give them additional tools and technology to patent ideas online within minutes; humans will be finally free of their basic animal needs and will be able to have even more time to live in a constant process of creativity. That will make you develop technologies like never before in history.    

By commenting those issues to a young Israelite man working in Germany (electronic game programmer); the guy told me after a moment and a little afraid: "This is communism". Then I needed to quit because the train arrived to my station. But the answer is: A robot or a washing machine do not know what communist or imperialist or fascism means at least you program it for the issue; they just shut up and do the job while you enjoy your free time or while you are sitting or having fun in a more comfortable place. On the train was also a classical "well programed" German worker with square mind (biologist); he just was opposed to new ideas because he was afraid to lose its job and then he needed to quit because of its train station. An American politician some time ago said very worry about the economics: We have an energy crisis! The answer is: oil is 14% hydrogen and some dirty issues. Water is H2O and there are billions of stars in our Galaxy with more hydrogen spreading this clean stuff to their near planets. The car, war and oil industries have subjugate humans to one of the most vicious and undercover slavery systems where they tax oil and make people dependant on a toxic product to mobilize them selves. Then they use it as a pretext to spend huge amounts of the money taxes on military issues (and generating debt) to control everybody in the world. But oil can be easily be replaced with free clean renewable energy and electric cars. I think the only crisis is when the "busy working little ants" (in the Universe) forget what creativity means. Some practical solutions:  Clean Energy & Integral Solutions For The Car Industry. The main reason why new technologies and new products can be expensive is due to the human or cultural factor; because matter and energy are there for free. Robots and intelligent system can work day and night to transform the ambient, create all kind of products and give you services even for free. I mean what really matters is your life experience. With that information you can transform the Universe; but normally it is lost in time for not using the right tools or technology.

Then watch also one by one the other robots (links) on my list. and try to identify which skills does each robot has; useful to improve your own robot (Make a list then try to resolve those issues). Try to identify also which are the main mistakes that you should avoid.

You can watch also other technologies like on The Humanoid Robot. It can help to watch non humanoid robots to identify new or useful technologies; but first what is the main issue: Humanoid Robots one by one... It is important to consider that each person or engineer in the process of analysis and creativity can understand different things or invent new tools. After that if you have time or if you work with other engineers try to organize your self to be able to watch and analyze other technologies; so you can find more useful concepts for your own needs (Additional Robots & Tech)... Then you can choose and start to apply those technologies to make a better project or robot design...  By following that process you will save many years and maybe also money. Some of the most annoying parts of the job I already did it for you. Next comes some considerations for the new robot HRP-4C and interesting points useful for other humanoid robot projects. Try to be patient because I still learning English and try to take a look (every month) on the issues of interest mentioned here, because I still improving the ideas and discovering new things.  MAIN IDEAS

 

You do not need to use the same logic or the same "skeletal" structure or actuators for building the legs, the arms or the body. Because you can find better or different technologies useful for your needs and combine it. Always remember it is a humanoid robot not a human; so you can combine every aspect that gives better performance useful for your needs.


1) If you put shock absorbers or linear actuators inside the body (something like those long shock absorbers for opening the back door of a car (with the proper size); I mean to be able to give a smooth movement) between the legs section (Hip) and the upside part of the body (in the front, the back, and the sides) it will be a solution against the vibration when the robot walks or stop walking (but without losing the capability to make those turns...) To stabilize with the help of sensors its not enough; you need to consider the physics and the structure of the body; reacting with gravity, movements and impacts. Post Data 2009, new:  Watch the next mechanism. Maybe it can be useful to add it into the torso over the "turning hip mechanism"  OMNIZERO 6  (Takeshi Maeda) ; maybe it can facilitate the lateral movements of the arms and torso. I mean "to replace the spine". Or even if you can build smaller ones, you will be able to mount it one over the other:

Or something elastic to replace the muscles, the spine and the lungs effects; I mean the capability to absorb "impacts" (energy) by walking.  Beta Gel  (wait after the commercials because those idiots spies corrupted in the USA are messing up every video they can, lol) Or you can even try to give more flexibility to the torso (RoboSapien) and chest. At this point try to concentrate on the issues I am talking about not on the obvious mistakes of the mentioned robots... it is always important to consider how to give more flexibility to the robots (watch point 23 and 24 on this page; its important). You can also make the chest to be able to turn 90º or 180º; for example; which is also a very practical tool for robots in space: Watch OMNIZERO 2  how effective it is by doing this. After some time this  "Robo Wrestling"  did learn the trick also. The other advantage is that because of the separate parts there is a space where the energy can dissipate; avoiding some of the vibration which normally flows to the head, arms and hands; with each step. So you can even build other articulated sections in the torso to give more flexibility to the body. "Champion" Sarga : Interesting video, those robot skills are very important to consider. It looks like a between improved Omnizero 2 and an improved Bioloid.

Post Data: This other robot has a very interesting mechanism for the chest-arms because it can make those turns, maybe adding that skill to the up part of OMNIZERO 6 will be great, it will be like to keep its old skill to be able to make those turns and combine it with its new mechanism, up and down (double):

Sexy robots are cool but If you want to build a super efficient robot: Pay attention to the simplicity and effectiveness of the OMNIZERO 2 legs or this model of (King Kizer). If you can build more powerful half cylindric actuators and keep the leg closer as possible to the ground (at the corner where it reach the foot; but with the up part shaped like a cylindric actuator  (like the purple shape on the link but cut horizontally in the middle). Or you can just use a cylindric actuator and install it in a proper shaped part for the foot platform; for example: PolyJet Rapid Prototyping  * can be useful to manufacture lightweight robot parts (prototypes) to be able to integrate it better with cylindric or the right actuators. Try to keep the structure of that sort of arc effect on the legs (OMNIZERO 2); it will be great. In the middle of the leg (horizontally) you can put just a cylindric actuator. All those issues will be useful to improve many other robots legs. The future OMNIZERO robot legs instead of keeping its great flexibility or improve it; became worse. Because of copying the mistakes of the supposed better or normal robots or because of adding linear actuators in the wrong place or because of the new commercial or standard actuators with its structural mistakes... But it is fair to mention that the new OMNIZERO 6 has some great skills. 


If you don´t have many millions do not worry too much about fabricating or putting "super powerful computers" inside the robot to make it more intelligent; the most important is to make the body movements flexible as possible (Tanker standing up); other way you will need to restart designing every time. Each year computers are smaller because there is already a market going on... so not problem with the computer power for the intelligent issue; in the near future. By 2023 it is estimated that a 1000 dollar computer will reach the human brain potential for processing data.

 

Now try to keep in mind the shape of the outside part of the OMNIZERO 2 legs (the guys who did that are genius; I mean the idea is great: they did find a simple solution to do something that nature took millions of years to achieve and that many PHDs do not understand at the moment: Two external bones for each leg instead of one in the middle and it does not matter if they broke because the robot will not get infected or complicated and will not die; in terms of evolution) and imagine that in the middle between the normal actuators where it is a "free space" you can put two linear actuators (on the up part of the leg, the thigh) on each side but flat on each part to be attach; I mean if you "cut" that piece of leg horizontally. And then attach it together with linear actuators or "a special shock absorber" or you can even combine linear actuators integrated with shock absorbers (materials); to have double function (the ability to change size in the legs but also to absorb impacts with each step). Think also about how to build almost flat linear actuators ("rectangular - cubic - curved") to attach it besides the leg. Watch the image below from Mark Ho. Imagine if that metallic band besides the leg was a linear actuator (approx. with the same shape) and to be able to "enlarge" on the last section. That way you can keep the properties of the robot legs with its normal actuators (cylindric or "cubic") in the junctures plus adding a new skill which is to be able to increase size and to have the muscle and power effect of a human leg but also an additional advantage (to jump; for example). So those new actuators will be activated only for "seconds" in the right moment... in that context try to give the proper size to the robot; to be able to match with the actuators or the technology available on the market; at least you can produce your own actuators integrated with the robot parts; I mean for your special needs...

By making the mentioned improvement (on the legs) the robot will be able to stand or to take position like a boxer or a facing posture; which is very important to achieve at least 50% of the human body skills and strength useful for many activities. Also to jump and walk or to run much more faster. Watch what happens when you put linear actuators attaching the leg parts in the wrong place and with the wrong function; I mean the linear actuator cant do what the cylindric actuator needs to do in the junctures; to make "good steps". He is just moving the legs almost in the same place: Dexter 3.3 Walking Robot. And watch what happens when a robot has no linear actuators or cant change size on the legs; the movements are rigid and it cant run; he needs to walk like and old man: REEM-B. And this other robot can walk pretty good and even run but he will never be able to jump or run faster than that; because the up part of the leg can not change size; because it does not have linear actuators on the up part of the leg to imitate the muscles effect (or to have even better performance); so it looks like he is jumping when he runs but it really inst. He is more like profiting gravity with each step: Asimo slow motionWabian-2 / Kobian  have some stile.  So of course you can combine both actuators to improve it ; if you like send me an e-mail I will help you with some other technical issues... I have now a little secret that will allow a humanoid robot to run faster than Asimo and the new Toyota robot...

The big lesson to learn with the OMNIZERO 2  legs is how effective they are in terms of the aerodynamics; this is due to the empty spaces in the middle of the legs. And part of the good performance is due to the shape, lightweight legs and also the actuators located in the right position. Which means that you can build very effective and lightweight legs for robots at a relatively low cost. Just if you want to make it look more "elegant"; you can recover the metal parts with a plastic solution or use new stronger and lightweight materials to build them or Cryogenic tech . If you will need to use the robot to work between bushes or plants for example; it is just about to cover the holes with a special pant...  Plastic Polymer Strong as Steel (U. Of Michigan) / Rowenta Shock Absorber ; For example. But if you do not need it just keep the "holes" because it gives lightweight and better aerodynamics... It is not just about to copy a human leg but to use what is better for your needs... The other lesson to learn is how a little cheap robot can be much more efficient in some issues than other big an expensive robots with "blind" engineers who do not pay attention on important robotic issues happening around the world.

To have a reference for the body quality of your robot it is always good to see the performance of the junctures. I mean if they are fast as humans; for example: how it moves the foot vertically which is essential to have a faster running robot. If your robot cant do that well try to redesign or put better actuators or you can even change the position of some parts or try to use lightweight materials; it is possible. Try to evaluate and control the performance of each juncture; then redesign if its necessary or try to find a better solution.

If you will like the robot to have a great flexibility; I mean to be able to open the legs like a ballet dancer watch this system but do not just copy the other parts of the legs; there are mistakes on it: Robonova Zembekiko Dance.  Do not worry about the robotic aspect of the juncture because you can cover it with a flexible material. Watch also the up part of the leg; I mean the juncture ofRBT-1 SDR-4x (Sony) & Koeda  (video) Take the best concepts; do not copy the whole leg.

So the up part of the leg I already describe it; but the part bellow can be something like this:

Continuing with HRP-4C: Try to put shock absorbers (or proper materials) inside the neck; to make look the movements more natural by avoiding vibration. Watch also the Master of robots: Mr. Wu Yulu (Robotics)   (Photos). The first little robot on the video has an actuator on the base of the neck which is a very good solution to avoid vibrations by walking; so you can even put a joint there to make turn the neck or head but also to be used as a shock absorber. REEM-B  (Pal-Robotics) has the mechanism on the neck; but they did not program it to coordinate the movements with each step; so the robot looks rigid by walking.
 
Watch also: Hermes Prosthetic  (Spring Active, Inc.) / PowerFoot / (Wabian 2R - Takanishi - Waseda U. Japan)   / Asimo Running Slow Motion / Robot Leg (prothesis) / ÖSSUR Foot / ÖSSUR Power Knee / Blatchford / LEGS & MUSCLES. You can also put a shock absorber material under the shoes (feet) or little shock absorbers under the heel; which must touch the ground first to give a little angle to the foot. That will make each step more gentle (smooth).  Denise   *   (Tu Delft).  Its  interesting Denise: the curved  sole;  because it makes smoother each step.  If you can design a robot shoe with a little curved sole for flat terrains and then to be able to change its form for wet, snowy, etc. terrains that will be very practical. Maybe you can use the Beta Gel in some parts and also try to find some information about the best air shoes... Note: If you put a whole sole under the foot or shoe with not enough hard-elastic material; the robot will lose stability and can fall down.

Watch the foot (shoe) on the Mark Ho robot, it is very interesting to consider to put a cylindric actuator there.

If you use the tripod or "Readybot concept" for
the up part of the Toyota Robot leg, it will allow him to run even
faster (beyond the human model) while keeping the necessary stability.

Boston Dynamics did some interesting improvements but the mistake is that the legs mechanism apparently work with compressed hair, hydraulic actuators or a motor engine... So what do you do by transporting that annoying thing on its body? It is the same problem that has the Big Dog robot. It will be better to try to use the concept of the cell phone battery to be able to change them faster or to recharge it some where while the robot is walking or even using a car or any additional transportation system which can provide him with electricity... the issue here is not to achieve super autonomy but super body flexibility and skills... then the electricity issue can be resolved in time with creative solutions; at least you want to use this stuff in a nuclear war or send it near Jupiter... which is not helpful for the moment because you can use humanoid robots for much more practical issues. And there are  other technical problems easy to see because of the same issue... like no "cylindric" actuators on the knee? How can you have good control of the legs like that? This is not enough... I think this is the reason why the video do not shows when the robot stop walking; do not tell me that I did not told you, lol. Those hard heads do not get it, it is not about to copy a human leg like that.... because it will not work and I do not need to make any calculations for that... If someone is planing to steal 10 million dollars from the money taxes for this or something like that, I will need to tell you that you can buy many other good robots and they will work much better than this...

 In the backside of your robot shoe you can cut a rectangle space or make a hole to put an artificial heel mechanism with shock absorber(s). So it will be the first part to touch the ground to be able to absorb some of the energy by walking; then the whole sole area will stabilize...
 
 In front of the middle part of the foot (shoe);  should be an actuator to allow the foot to have some  "flexibility" vertically. A good issue to consider if the robot wants to run faster... Post data: this concept you can see it today on the Toyota robot feet (I did think on it before...)

Also, it is important this movement but 45º aprox to the other side...

 

1.A) The concept of claw: Humanoid robots are that; Humanoids not humans. Which means that you can give them extra capabilities. You can build all size claws and apply the concept to the foot or leg: For example watch: Robot Cat  If you use aprox the shape of those legs and install it as claws; three or two opened in angle in the front of the shoe pointing to the sky and even better laying by the curved side on the leg... and to be able to be activated with the help of sensors each time the robot receives an impact on its body or when it reachs a falling angle. It will be a great tool to stabilize the robot or to avoid falling. You can put those also on the back of the shoe or foot. For example, you can imitate the Achilles tendon effect on the heel with one of those claws but also install it on the sides of the ankle or heel; two more and longer than the one in the middle. And cover the first part with a shock absorber material while the external claws can operate more freely. You can even build bigger "claws" with the same shape or similar and install it besides the knee (maybe covered with a rubber material or the Geko *   technology and material: on the extreme); so they can be activated and to be able to "open" like a tripod on the direction of the back side of the robot. So the robot should have four main strategies or reactions by receiving an impact or by losing stability: Bend, opening the legs in the opposite side where the impact comes and/or use nails (claws) or the ultra light tripod tool (effect; watch 1.B). Plus opening the arms into the right position... of course. And even jumping, to find the right position and stabilize its also a solution. I just saw the OMNIZERO 6 this concept is on the hands (some days after writing this idea): watch how fast the devise on the arms can move (open & close). It can help you to have a better idea about how to use the concept of claws on the legs, feet or shoes. Amazing just what I was talking about!



1.B) Ultralight "tripod tool" or actuator: Imagine a devise that you can screw in; on different parts of the robot (legs, arms or its back; for example) to use it as a tool to give more stability and/or additional strength. To understand better you can buy this: Velbon rup-43 it will give you an idea how the mechanism works. It is an alternative tool to the tripod; useful for taking photos or making videos. Now if you got the idea; watch those videos: 4TET  *The iRobot PackBot : Watch the robotic arm to give you a better idea of the sizes. My idea can be faster or more efficient than this other system. But watch it because it is also interesting: Geosystemsinc.com I did send some ideas to NASA some years ago; but the little assholes in charge never answered back; but they did those devices (This is part of the reason why American engineers did fail building walking humanoid robots; because of a wrong world order with perverse patent system between order issues; which promotes corrupted, mean and elitist people willing to profit humanity instead of really helping us for development; there are solutions for that: you can read Some AI help for the PHDs on my website and how to transform to a better robotic society). This year someone answered the e-mail and said thank you; so you are welcome! But those engineers are like snails or maybe it is their system... Communism for some institutions who simple steal huge amounts of the money taxes for weapons, stupid things and free market when is convenient? Try to do a balance.. Other thing: I will like to know who was the idiot in charge of the robotics USA national plan to decide spending millions of dollars in modular robots and to make a program like that based on a futuristic war monger movie; instead of building a good humanoid robot (DARPA?). You cant even make a proper walking biped robot and you wanna fly with metamorphosis and nanotech issues. Come on guys too much cannabis on the scene. Wake up! You need to teach the baby how to walk, then how to ride a bicycle, then how to drive a car, then how to fly an airplane... If you do the opposite; those are the results = Bad; on humanoid robots.

But there are some good issues also; those devises 4TET  *  were not my original idea but they took the concept and did develop part of it. So you can use it now to make a good tool to stabilize the robot. But not only that; you can even "insert" it between the foot and leg, between the hand and arm or use it in almost every part of the body or even you can put a robotic hand (or tool) on the external side. So your humanoid robot can have an additional tool or hand. Which can help to work or walk outside the space shuttle; for example. If you install two of them on the back of the robot and to be able to be open as a tripod tool; they can retract very good to follow the shape of the body and then be activated before the robot falls down; for example. Instead of building them round; you can give it a little curved shape (to the tubes); which can help with the aerodynamics on the arms, legs or the back... Imagine also a robot which can change sizes on its arms and legs. :-) So for example: if you need to paint the walls of a room; the robot will not need to use stairs which means it will be able to do the work faster than humans. Or imagine if its walking in low gravity in other planet it will be able to stabilize before falling (with its retractable sticks). Or to have special strength when it is exposed to heavy weight or gravity forces. So instead of having a biped robot you can have almost a quadruped robot or more by installing the devices on the arms; for example. Plus having the possibility of keeping free hands. The big advantage is that those retractable devices (actuators) do not need necessarily to be "installed" inside the body, legs or arms; you can just attach it. For sports for example: if the robot is playing soccer instead of kicking the ball with the foot he can continue running while the device besides the leg can give a whole turn and kick the ball... now, installed on the arms there are also a lot of applications... I have a trick to improve the mechanism if you are interested send me an e-mail.

The mentioned devices (1.B) will help you also to avoid those "funny" tools to keep the robot standing when it is in off mode. You can take the concept of Leg-Wheeled robots  (Photos) and incorporate it to the 1.B device. I mean to install little wheels on it to avoid the tool to hung humanoid robots in the experimental level (something like a baby walking car; effect). The advantage is that you can use it also for extreme whether conditions or dangerous situations; for example.


1.C) Someone said the problem with artificial muscles is that they cant react faster to reach the necessary strength as the alive muscles...

But I say: even if they will do it (in time thanks to the new technologies) they will have some limitations like gravity affecting them. The good thing is that they are stronger and do not get tired. So why not combine "normal" actuators and the tools I already mentioned (1.A  and 1.B and the first ideas) to improve their performance instead of waiting who knows when to reach the proper speed or quality, and even to be able to add extra skills better than humans or animals?  If you combine well the proper technologies they are ready to be used effectively right now... again the problem was not technology but people thinking like standard humans. I mean trying to copy the supposed "ideal model" instead of finding effective solutions. Of course you can build much better or stronger joints (cylindric actuators), linear actuators and combine it with artificial muscles and other tools. To build a super arm...

To give you an example: The Arm Wrestling Contest. Humans think and play the game to see who has stronger arms or muscles; but a humanoid robot can do better than that. If you install the devise (1.B) on the arm. It it will only need to activate it in the opposite direction where the rival is applying force and problem resolved. It will not lose because you have the equivalent of a vertical stick in the right position avoiding more movement or gravity affecting its arm in that direction. So what its important is not who wins a game but how to give the robot more skills and good solutions useful for real life. While you improve technologies. The other important issue that we should not forget is that artificial muscles just to copy the human model is not efficient, because cylindric actuators can give you more degrees of freedom; for example. 

 

1.D) Robot battles (games) should not lead the evolution of humanoid robots; they should be just a reference. Other way you will end up with sort of crabs or monsters that can obviously win a transitory biped robot. You need to combine the best actuators to make the robot more efficient for working or to be useful for different tasks. 

It is not so good to saturate the legs or arms with the same sort of actuator by adding more and more. Which at the end results on a robot that do not falls down when it takes a strategic posture; but it is a non stable biped or the other problem is that it will never be able to reach enough elasticity (to be able to increase size on its legs and arms, to react fast and take the right position after an impact; nor to jump or to run faster). For example: (Oro robot - Farrell Robotics). The same for robot games or soccer they just encapsulate the robot evolution into some parameters which do not help them well to build it better or improve it faster. I think the best way to improve robots is by building humanoid robot competitions for "normal" tasks. The house, the garden, the farm, the office, the car, nursing, teaching, and all kind of sports; not only one with its particular rules...


2) It is important to make robots autonomous and tele-operated but also interactive. So you can put a flexible but non permanent fixed video screen on the back and front; to allow people to choose between different sizes of screens (adaptable for their needs) or to be able to bring it with them. Or you can use a video laser projector (Ultra small projector) on the arm (wrist) or other parts of the body. That will allow to show images of a teacher; an "important" person or all kind of images; to be able to use the robot for many more services; like teaching, nursing, as a tourist guide or to have fast access to the Internet to be able to use interactive lessons, to watch your e-mails or hear them, to use a messenger... Also to be able to have better softwares or intelligent system tools or even to install or uninstall programs into the robot according to their needs; faster. 3) Brain Computer Interface  (Photos) technology its a good idea to develop; for that purpose to visualize on a screen or projector as I did mention in point 2) It is important also. If you can watch some commands on a menu then you can activate them just by thinking on it; instead of using the hands, a remote control or a laser; I mean as a good complement.

4) You can add the bone transmitted sound technology ; to avoid the headphones. I mean to be able to hear and communicate with the robot directly into your head (ears). Today those devises are smaller and practical.  Bone Transmited Sound

So here is the good part: you can buy a great robotic arm for 60 thousand dollars each or both for 100 thousands (or even for less; today) if you make a good deal; which is not bad at all considering all the time that it requires (watch number 6) on this page). In the case of HRP-4C I think the hands needs to be improved first; because the arms are well done for the moment. By the way, talking about gangsters what are those guys of the Pentagon doing by receiving more than 100 billions dollars per year from the money taxes? If you are one of those tell your boss to make a nice deposit (one billion will be good; at the end of my robot list its the account) that will help development and to resolve the economics; while you play the little soldiers... 1 % will not make any difference to your pocket but can resolve good issues about intelligent systems and humanoid robots :-) Smile.

Do not worry as a nation if the cost of creating a humanoid robot its expensive. Because once you build it with a good quality it will pay back or reduce costs for development in many aspects. Plus the materials to build it do not cost much; what its expensive is just the first stage; I mean to get the technology.

Every person living in the planet comes to the world with more than 9000 dollar debt. 5) If you start to sell the robot; try to explain the customers how important is the interactivity issue so you can sell them a complete package of softwares to improve its productivity. Humanoid Robots and intelligent systems have the potential to be great teachers; like never before for humanity. Those tools can be great for helping the human teachers also but even better they can make every person around the world teachers. That will be able to low the cost of building schools & universities and be useful every where you go; all around the world. I mean imagine the capability of having in real time 30 or more experts on many issues; every where you go... so people instead of using just 5% of their potential or intelligence (on average) they will be able to reach at least 50%. Imagine if we will be able to have for each person living in this planet (6800 million) at least one humanoid robot with intelligent systems. That will increase productivity and human life quality like never before because it can help technology and save hundreds of years for development; each year. 6) The hands should curve a little on the sides and be partially close by walking or standing; it will look more natural. But if you can make your robot run then it can make sense to open the hands and put it straight; other way it will make the robot more rigid. It is very useful for taking meal orders in restaurants; for example.  I did send the idea to robot Asimo from Honda in Germany; some time ago. They did say thank you; but after that they stoled my address calling me dear Luis and promising to send me a CD about the skills of the robot which I never asked; then they did send me a stupid letter about patents before get inspired with other ideas and issues that I did send them and after that they "secretly"  did buy the technology. Did I told them to steal ideas? No; so do not help Asimo in Germany because it is like a platform to use the moneys company in a not very efficient way and to get only a few ideas from the world each year. But just for a period of 100 years. Instead of really improve the robot faster; as they did explain me in a personal interview more than one year later. The mean nerds do not receive ideas; because they do not want to be accused of stealing... as they told me. By the way; there is a multi-billion humanoid robot market waiting. Nerds Potatoes! :-) It looks like the plan is to build a Humanoid robot enough smart to fire all the employees in 20 or 30 years. But in the mean time just to use it as a clown robot to make look the company modern! Which is stupid because you can make much more money with an interactive humanoid robot; in the mean time... Now they have started to study the human brain for 10 or 15 more years; when it is much more important to improve other aspects of the robot. To build and invest money on computer chips technology to reach the atomic level its important; but maybe they can get that issue just by waiting because it cost too much money... Because you can watch and then give the commands faster. It is not about to copy ideas just to look modern but to understand how to use it. 15) You can use the same system to recharge batteries on a cellphone but to be able to attach different computers for different activities; I mean it will be useful if you can shape  computers like parts of the robots body; like a battery pack to be attached. It will be an easy way to reprogram fast the robot; just by changing those packs. That concept can help you also to give more flexibility to the robots body and design. It will be the same main concept used on human brains; like specialized areas but applied to the body. Do no forget robots do not need to eat or to have those internal organs; so you can spread the "brain" all around (Flexible computers) or even on its extra personal transportation system or the buildings. 16) It is a mistake to think that we will need to wait 20 or 30 years to reach a much better level of Humanoid robot. Many countries spend billions of dollars making or buying weapons instead of investing on what can really change the world. For example: To build the nuclear bomb in USA took the equivalent of 30 billions dollars and 100 thousand people were involved in that project. The American nuclear submarine investments at least 800 billion dollars, and so on... that kind of budget can transform the entire car infrastructure  into hydrogen and electric cars in the USA in less that 10 years; for example. So when you have the chance to talk with politicians never said that it is a long term technology but that you need the money to buy other technologies (better robot parts) and to organize hundreds of the best engineers to be able to build a better humanoid robot. It is a shame for humanity not to do it; because it can really change the world for the good. So do not feel shame for asking for a billion dollar project or more... The other mistake is to think that science its about to discover things all by your self. You will get better results if you watch what others did already achieve and you buy them the technology or make good deals... then improve it.

 


17) Google s 360º Camera. You can reduce the size of the Google s 360º Camera. and put it on little antennas like robot Dynamizer ; maybe a litter longer than those. Or Simple mount it on its shoulders or chest; for example. If you can use it with the software: 360º Panoramas  it will be interesting. Watch also other digital video or photo camera systems.

18) It is a great idea to organize contest for football (soccer) robots but also Golf, Golf2

Bowling (Kid-Size), VolleyBall, Dynamizer Skiing,  Skiing II, Baseball, etc. That will help the technology to develop faster. It is necessary to organize the Olympic Games for Humanoid robots; which can motivate many countries to invest on it and take the issue more seriously; instead of spending billions of dollars from the money taxes on military expenditures. It is a shame for humanity to think that humanoid robots will need to wait 50 years to develop enough with little budgets for soccer teams; when it can be the greatest tool for development ever maid. That will increase human knowledge 1000 % or more. Because normally we can not remember things or many details of our life experiences; because our brain just keeps the basics. I mean you cant register everything in your normally life and process the data but intelligent systems can do it... we will be able to come back easily to our life experiences and add more information each time we need it; or to be able to discover new things or to understand better the events by watching them; just an amazing tool for learning. Imagine all the information you normally lose in your life experience. But if you can come back in a 3D digital video you will be able to learn languages easily or what ever you need and add more and more  information. So the robot can also be useful for that purpose, as an extension of our bodies for interacting with data in that virtual world of our life experiences. Remember now point 2) about interactivity. So this way just by interacting he can discover things and be able to automatize the scientific procedure to give you answers; for your needs.

For example: if the robot can watch and calculate how many people were afraid, happy or angry in a certain context or if they were paying attention...  but to be able to express that information with the respective statistics and by using the proper scientific procedure. You can even make an online system where scientist around the world will be able to give you the procedures to install it in your own robots or to be able to send you the right information if they did already investigate the issues... Or in the nature for example; if the robot can record a 3D scene he will be able to process in time how many species, plants or what ever was around and express it in scientific terms or add additional files (information) into each object. 22) Humanoid Robots for the elderly and health issues have a huge potential (market); so try to watch those issues.
 
 
23) Do not forget: Try to put two battery packs (at least) to allow the robot to be able to change batteries (easily) by its self; like on a video camera. It will be a good solution to low its weight and to be able to make a much more flexible design (structure). Plus it will not need to wait to recharge its batteries. 25) It is always fun and can be useful to watch the Kibertron project; I just saw some nice graphics on its website:  KIBERTRON  *  (Photos)  (Kibertron Inc - Bulgaria). Take the best issues and combine it with the tips I am giving to you; do not just copy the whole concept. It will be interesting to consider combining its arm mechanism with the Melissa - Hands   *   *  mechanism.  I mean If you put actuators for each individual finger inside the Kibertron arm. (Note: I need some more information, about other issues).

I got an idea which can make a revolution for computers, robots and intelligent systems; those guys (Emotiv.com) did a lot of research, invested money in a good idea, a funny game and probably they will be able to make a lot of money, but they forgot something with a huge potential for humanity, intelligent systems and robotics.  I just did send them and e-mail; you can read it:

Hi, if you will be able to replace the mouse with your technology; that will be great. And the start of a new era for computers and intelligent systems. If you use eye-tracking and then instead of using the gestures to make clicks with the cursor; you can replace them wit brain signals (Neural); so you will only need a little device on your head or body,  because it will be a brain signal who allows you to make the clicks while the eyes move the cursor. Which seems to be much faster; so you can combine both technologies and avoid the gestures or body movements (at least for computers or devices at a "short distance"). Eye tracking to move the cursor and mind interface to activate the commands. Watch the man playing cards; and the lady selecting letters (Video); she use gestures to activate; if you can avoid this by simple signals of the brain... problem resolved. What do you think?

Yes, you can: Yes you can use the nervous system to activate the mouse (make click) and also to be able to use the eye tracking.  I think you can even move the mouse and make clicks with the nervous system. If this guy is doing that with an entire arm; to move the mouse and make clicks will be a piece of cake and a huge revolution for computers, robotics and intelligent systems. The world is waiting for that, if someone can take the idea. Watch this.

The Kamen's robotic arm you showed to my knowledge is not controlled by direct brain signal but by muscle(EMG) signals form other part of the subject's body (foot or upper limb and shoulder).

You are welcome Lai; I hope you can develop the concept or promote the idea; because that can make a revolution for all intelligent systems, computers and electronics devises. As you can see if you can watch something on a screen or projector (visual interface) and then control it with brain or body neural signals (its a ramification) by activating the cursor (mouse) like on the normal computers. We are talking there about a new era for all electronic devices; and a potential market of hundred of billions. Because if you can control electronic devices with out touching them... thats power; an amazing power...
Today we have the wireless mouse on the market. Now if you can reduce even more its size and put that wireless mouse on a writs watch, or in other practical parts of the body; for example. And to be able to give commands with neural signals or move the cursor (virtual buttons). Then you will resolve the problem for portable computers and devices. Because by the year 2023 aprox. a 1000 dollar computer will reach the human brain potential for processing data (they will be build in the atomic level). Which means that you will be able to wear intelligent systems and devices for processing your entire life experience and things on the reality or even in pass time. Which means that you will have 24 hours a day intelligent systems to allow you to be more than 1000 % more productive or intelligent; to make easier human life. Which can resolve poverty around the planet and many other social problems. I do not want to talk about human health issues; because its a chaos if you watch the numbers on every country...

And other alternative is to just use the gesture recognition software; then visualize the mouse on the screen (with little arrows pointing to all directions and divided in the middle with two colors to replace the right and left button) and activate it moving the hands or fingers in the air :

Imagine this concept, considering the potential of computers in the near future for processing data... if you can register your life experience and make it interactive (to be able to add files or data on the objects  in the video; I mean the Virtual-video system described on the point 20) then you will be able to have almost like copies of your self experience but on autonomous computers (robots) interacting with other people or other Intelligent systems, which at the ends results on your self experiences but making its own evolution or development around the world or even in space. The interesting thing of making a network of those (robots or intelligent systems) is that you increase your potential intelligence not only more than 1000% but to almost no limits. The difference here between the traditional Internet system connected with millions of computers is that now those computers have sensors and have its special stile of intelligence and a certain level of autonomy. But at the end retrofits your own self and the people you will like to share it. Allowing a constant process for improving the robotic chains of production. Which means that it can replace the dual or transitional economic model (good quality basic needs for free plus reward you for your creativity with money). At this point and with that technology, you will not need the money or gold value any more for the economic system because what it counts is your life experience and the evolution it makes on each intelligent system (robots). It "feeds" the system with enough information which has the potential to give you the best services and products every day and year. Do not forget, matter and energy is there for free in the Universe.
