Information for Prospective StudentsI am always looking for motivated and talented students to work with me on computer science research topics in databases, knowledge representation, and (scientific) workflow management, and in application areas such as bioinformatics. If you are already a UC Davis student and are interested in one or more of the above areas then I'd be happy to discuss with you potential research opportunities. Please send me an email (Subject: "UCD student") to schedule an appointment. If you are not yet an UC Davis student, then you need to apply online: The University has established a procedure to speed up the application process. All application data has to be submitted online and will be evaluated by the admissions committee. Emails with your resume and other academic records to individual faculty are discouraged (only online admissions are considered by the committee). If you have a strong academic record, then you should apply to for computer science studies at UC Davis. The campus and department have much to offer. For general questions regarding appkications, please see the FAQ. Further information about my research group can be found on the DAKS web pages. If you strongly feel that you have exactly the right background (or even prior work/results) needed for research in my group, then you can send me an email and contact me. But please understand that I cannot handle general admissions questions. Again, see the admissions FAQ for that. -- Bertram Ludäscher Professor of Computer Science Dept of Computer Science & Genome Center University of California, Davis ludaesch@ucdavis.edu Ph: +1-530-554-1800 |
