I am the Lumley Research Fellow and Director of Studies in Philosophy at Magdalene College, Cambridge. I am also an affiliated lecturer in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge.

I came to Cambridge in 2005 to read for an MPhil at St John's College, for which I was awarded the Matthew Buncombe Prize. I then stayed on to write my Phd thesis, entitled  'Set Theory: Its Justification, Logic, and Extent'. It was supervised by Michael Potter and Peter Smith, and examined by Hannes Leitgeb and Alex Oliver.
