Lubasz is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Czarnków-Trzcianka CountyGreater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Lubasz, which lies approximately 7 kilometres south-west of Czarnków and 57 km north-west of the regional capital Poznań.

The gmina covers an area of 167.58 square kilometres (64.7 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 6,992.


The gmina (Polish pronunciation [ˈɡmina], plural gminy [ˈɡminɨ]) is the principal unit of territorial division in Poland at its lowest uniform level. It is often translated as "commune" or "municipality."
