Q: How do I allow my users to use ABRA?

Step 1. Make sure you've installed the "Full Version" of the LTK, and not the "ABRA-Lite Version.
If you are using the wrong version, download the latest version of the LTK ("Full Version") and upgrade your installation.

The latest version of the LTK is always available on the LTK Download Site, here:
http://grover.concordia.ca/eportfolio/ltk_versions/

Instructions explaining how to upgrade are here:
http://grover.concordia.ca/eportfolio/ltk_versions/how_to_upgrade.php

Step 2. Turn on the ABRA application for the LTK.
- Log in to the LTK as the "admin" user.
- Click on the "LTK Settings" section.
- Click on the "LTK Applications" tab.
- Click the "Install ABRA" button and then follow instructions.
(note: you will be instructed to create an empty database using phpMyAdmin or the command line)
- After installation is complete, return to the "LTK Applications" tab and click the "Turn ABRA On" button, if needed.

Step 3. Give some schools the permission to use ABRA.
- ABRA is now turned on for the LTK, but it still needs to be turned on for specific schools.
- Using the "admin" user click on the "Schools, Classes, Students, Teachers" section.
- From the list of schools, click the edit pencil icon for one of the schools you would like to have use ABRA access.
- Check the "School can use ABRA" checkbox and then click the "Save & Close" button.
- Repeat for any other schools that will be using ABRA.
