The LSRC is a not for profit charitable company limited by a guarantee of one penny (reg.Charity no. 1068468) and is run by unpaid volunteers. It provides sports and recreation facilities for a 40 sq.km. area with its ground at Ab Lench Road, Church Lench at the centre. Foundation membership of the LSRC confers on the member the opportunity to stand as a Trustee, sit on the Managment Committee, have a vote at the AGM, and subject to the provisions of the Constitution call an EGM. The LSRC supplies the facility but does not run any sports itself. User groups use the facilities on a paying basis. Any income derived from revenue and fundraising goes entirly towards the operational and capital expenditure requirements of the facilities. The management committee consists of Trustees which represents the three main user groups of cricket, soccer and tennis, and three principal officers. |
