Mower Appeal Launched. Target £6000 Due to the recent failure of the mowing machine and the imminent demise of the Gang Mowers the LSRC has launched a community wide appeal for replacement mowers. So far (19/10/2011) we have received over £2000 in individual donations, £500 from Church Lench PC ,£250 from Rous Lench PC, and a promise of £500 from a fund adminstered by County Councillor Clive Holt. A fundraising Thermometer is displayed at the corner of Ab Lench Road and Main Street. A copy of this is attached below. The joint Auction of Promises with the Lenches Pre School at the Lenches Club on 1st October raised £3800 between us. Out thanks to all who offered and bought promises. |
