CONSEQUENCES (randomly picked) Warning, Student Conference, Parent Conference, Sent to Office *Severe disruptions will be immediately handled by the office (fighting, profanity, etc.)
GRADES Each 9-week average will be determined by tests, quizzes, and assignment checks. Tests will count 100 points each while quizzes and assignment checks will count up to 20 points each. Assignments are extremely important for students to complete. The only way to learn math is to practice. Students will turn in assignments the day assigned or the next school day. Students should ask for help immediately when they are having trouble with topics or concepts. Do not wait until the day of the test or the end of the 9 weeks! Tests and quizzes weigh 70% and assignment checks weigh 30% of a 9-week average.
ATTENDANCE The attendance policy of the Cullman County Schools will be followed in this class. Late work will be accepted only for excused absences. Make-up work must be turned in within THREE days of returning to school in order to receive full credit. An area of the board will be designated for listing assignments. It is the STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY to obtain all make-up work. Students who are or will be absent (excused by the office) for a test or quiz have the option of taking the test prior to the absence or coming in before/after school within 3 days of returning to school.
